-- Harvard CMT data between 01/01/77 - 10/31/99. All events are less than 40 km deep. 
   In the actual model only the events are used that are within the defined plate boundaries of
   the model; i.e., no intraplate events are used.

-- coordinate system is x - east, y - north, z- up. Note that this is different from
     Aki and Richards, which is x - north, y - east, z - down. If you need to convert from 
     Aki and Richards;  m_xx = m_yy, m_yy = m_xx, m_xy = m_xy
